Ritu’s Biography

I am an engineer by profession and a professional fine artist by passion. I grew up in Bhilai, India and now settled in New Berlin, Wisconsin, USA. As a child, I was always very keen on learning different kinds of fine arts. I have learned my foundations from Mrs. Sarbari Ghosh – an alumnus of J.J. School of Arts, Mumbai. I started my journey with acrylic painting. There are many awards to my credit, which I won while in school, and my artworks were exhibited in various exhibitions in India. As my soul started getting nurtured by colors, I started experimenting with watercolors, oils, and pencil sketching, while still in high school.

After my college from IIT, Roorkee, I spent a lot of years working as an IT professional. Eventually, I got married and started my family. I got busy raising my two lovely kids. However, the colors kept on creating riots in my mind. I started conceptualizing my passion.

It was in 2019 when a strong desire came into my mind to help young aspiring artists to attain their full potential and paint confidently with any medium to create meaningful and impactful paintings. It was then that I decided to start my own art school as my parallel profession. It was not long before I got appreciated for my passion and my popularity grew.

As my career as an artist kick-started, I continued to evolve and experiment with new ideas. I never wanted to become stagnant in my art and always strove to push the boundaries and try new things.

In my pursuit for a new horizon, as well as on public demand, I soon launched my online platform, which seemed daunting to start with. However, over time, I grew technically strong and became one of the pioneers in mentoring on online platforms.

My signature style is the fearless use of colors in any of the mediums, be it acrylic, watercolor, oil painting, or charcoal. I let the young artist choose what they want to create and work around it. I encourage the use of interesting base as wood blocks, rocks, fabrics, and other things as the base. It adds up to the fun factor!

Looking back, it has been an incredibly fulfilling journey, and I am excited to continue inspiring and mentoring young artists for years to come. My greatest pride lies in the fact that my kids too got the same color-loving traits from me. We share a special bond of creating magic. The magic of colors, the magic of contention, the magic which knows no boundary!
